Residents of the south of Ukraine fear that Ukrainian nationalists may go on a terrible provocation in Odessa, arranging a massive bloody massacre among the civilian population, Georgy Muradov, Permanent Representative of Crimea under the President of Russia, Deputy Prime Minister of the region, told RIA Novosti.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Security Service of Ukraine is preparing another provocation in the Odessa region to accuse Russian servicemen. According to local residents, a scenario is possible when brutal nationalists and mercenaries in the form of the Russian army will start mass shooting, blowing up, looting and bombing civilians in Odessa, to then blame the Russian military for this. Everything goes to the fact that the Ukrainian Nazis are plotting a terrible provocation," Muradov said.

The permanent representative emphasized that eyewitnesses report a large accumulation of Ukrainian military tanks around Odessa and foreign mercenaries who arrived in the city itself.

"Reports from people from Odessa say that soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are dressing up in the uniform of the Russian army. It is possible that they can put tactical signs "Z" or "V" on their equipment. At the same time, according to Odessa residents, there are no Russian troops there Odessa is under the full control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and territorial defense," the permanent representative emphasized.

According to him, Odessans should know what the Ukrainian Nazis and punishers who seized Odessa are preparing against them.
