Russia reports a terrorist attack in illegally annexed Donetsk

This alarming headline is making rounds through all Russian major news outlets, including RIA Novosti, reporting a terrorist attack in Donetsk that may be used by Russia to justify their escalating military aggression against Ukraine. "The DPR reported a terrorist attack in Donetsk" referring to an explosive device that went off on the territory of a television center in Donetsk. This comes hours after Russia’s Federation Council quickly gave consent to Putin on the use of the Russian Armed Forces and aircraft abroad.

Over the past week, Russia has strategically conducted several false flag operations to blame the Ukrainian military. These operations carried out by Russian mercenaries and intelligence operatives include terrorist attacks in Russian occupied Donetsk and Luhansk, attacks on their water facilities and power plants, infrastructure, and residential buildings. This has already resulted in civilian casualties that are being blamed on the Ukrainian military that continue to refrain from responding, in order to avoid escalations with Russia.

It began yesterday with Putin’s rambling speech of lies, denying Ukraine’s sovereignty. Putin signed a decree illegally annexing Ukrainian regions, Donetsk and Luhansk, and shortly after, Russian tanks rolled into these territories that Russian operatives have occupied since 2014. The escalations continue on an hourly basis as Russia prepares to move its military into Ukraine for an unprovoked widespread invasion. It feels that Russia has us purposely focused on events unfolding in Eastern Ukraine, while they are preparing major offenses from other entry points, including Belarus. We also have to closely monitor any potential Russian aggression against Moldova, as Russian troops in Russian-occupied Transnistria become more active. I still worry about the Suwalki corridor and any activity coming from Kaliningrad. The next few days may change history as Putin continues to cross all red lines and international norms.

Over the past few hours, Russia is reporting another terrorist attack in Luhansk. The breaking news is that there was an explosion at the trolleybus depot in Luhansk. The closer Russian troops get to receiving their further invasion orders the more terrorist attacks are being reported in Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine.
