I personally condemn what the orange bastard has done to my country and the six Injustices on the Supreme Court that further enabled him. I also condemn the Democratic and Rethuglican parties for ceding too much power to the White House, they were the ones that kept the guardrails in place and maintained, now they're broken.

Scary indeed, as the boot licking Republicans are out in full force defending his actions. It remains to be seen whether this will be the bridge too far to stop full throated approval. I hope that some can be persuaded, but fear that they won’t.
As a Brit, I find myself torn between reacting to the utter incompetence of the Trump government in running it's own country, it's inability to understand that negotiating between countries is not a property development and requires in-depth knowledge and diplomacy, finally an uncomfortable conviction that his crimes in all his conflicts has a base prior agreement with Putin and Xi trying to split world governance between three main power blocks based upon financial dominance. It doesn't matter how many people they murder, it will not work out as they plan. Most of us are not that stupid or ignorant. Time to stop the process before it gets completely out of control. The USA is able to stop Trump if it's elected representatives and judiciary stop cowering away from the corrupt.

And then you laid out clearly, piece by piece, exactly what's going on. In that way, it doesn't overwhelm, but rather explains exactly HOW these current events are being perpetrated by people who are "batshit crazy" (as you so aptly called them).
What feels historically novel here isn’t intervention itself, which the US has practised for decades, but the abandonment of narrative restraint. Even empire usually bothers with a story. Containment, liberation, transition, stabilisation. Here there’s none of that. Just possession. That lack of even a justificatory myth feels closer to late-imperial collapse than Cold War adventurism, and it leaves allies, adversaries, and citizens guessing not about motives, but about limits.
