I am shocked at the US, even though not surprised that they are so blatantly supporting Russia.

Thank you for this outstanding report.

One note: Zelenskyy should demand that any negotiations include the European allies. Thanks to a traitorous plurality of Americans and the failure to vote by others, Europeans need to form a new mutual assistance organization outside NATO that includes Ukraine.

FYI: In English, it’s spelled Chernobyl.

In Russian, it’s spelled Чернобыль.

When converting this Russian city name to English, we do NOT change the second letter (Russian ‘e’) to an English ‘o’.

In Ukrainian it’s Chornobyl and the plant is located in Ukraine. Western media needs to stop using Russian spellings when discussing anything inside of Ukraine

'Europe won't have a seat at the table for Ukraine peace talks, Donald Trump's Ukraine envoy said on Saturday'

Nothing shows the intentions of Putin's tool in the Oval Office more clearly.

The question is whether the EU and NATO (without the US) will maintain the courage and unity to tell Putin and Putin's tool to pound sand. (I'm a lifelong inhabitant of Philadelphia, so 'pound sand' is not typical of the vernacular I would ordinarily use.)

Jeeezus! This is one of the most depressing columns I’ve read-all week-amidst other depressing news. It’s as if oligarchs are taking over the world (no thanks to authoritarian leaders.) Most troubling may be Ukrainian-Russia “peace talks” without Ukraine participating. How screwed up is that? But, it’s just like what happened when the prior Trump administration “negotiated” with the Taliban without the presence of the Afghanistan government. And, what can we-ordinary citizens-freedom loving, democracy loving-do about any of this? It’s all extremely troubling.
