When reading comments on the inexperienced youth Elon has employed to carry out his criminal activities, I was reminded of the child soldiers in Sierra Leone in the 90's. The juntas used adolescent males because they were more easily indoctrinated, had little impulse control and a greater propensity to commit atrocities when leaders demanded. Musk, et al are using the same strategy. I wonder what they have promised these young men as a reward?
As a Polish citizen from Poland I saw same tactic by past Polish governement, supported by Putin. The same distraction method was put in place, same Putin's tactic. Hope America survives putin's rules.
Waking up is one thing, second even more important is not getting scared when woke up, saw that in Poland. Many Polish citizens simply got scared and denied new reality. I'm worrying about US, as Poland, Ukraine, Finland where already exposed for decades to russian type propaganda and US wasn't. It's all new for you.
💯 In Ukraine it took 2 revolutions. Here the majority are not prepared for a Russian style system with the same tactics. I will say historically in U.S. people are good at fighting back and hopefully it will happen again

Why hasnt business in Senate just STOPPED while Musk is conducting a COUP, for X sake????Why cant Musk and friends just be arrested? What is stopping the congress --or anyone-- from calling police and having them arrested for trespassing and theft? Regardless of whether it sticks, it should be done. Now . I would love to know who Musk's "political whisperers" are, as I have a hunch his personal advisors are quite different from the gang implementing Project 2025. Perhaps Trump officials who are attracted by Elon's greater potential to hold power into the future? I'd also love to know more details about what resources/institution knowledge were available in the former US Digital Services that allowed Musk to so rapidly gain so much access.
Today I heard on NPR that what Rubio's doing is visiting countries one-by-one and granting waivers to the edict that foreign aid will be shut down based on concessions agreed to. Maybe okay, but rude, in foreign relations, but I think that will be the MO domestically as well: waivers from tariffs (line forms behind Elon); and. maybe, professions of fealty to get Medicare, and Social Security checks.

I was raised to believe our military existed to protect Americans. The America of my imagination would immediately remove Musk and associates from our government in whatever manner the situation required.
Realistically speaking, what can actually be done about this? The aren’t any more checks and balances. Calling our state’s legislators and asking them questions (as you wrote here) they won’t answer is not effective. Republicans run this country- from state courts, congress, potus and scotus, not to mention tech and media. At this point it’s possible there won’t be midterms and who can even wait two years for that considering what the MAGAs have done in three weeks. It’ll get worse before it gets better. However I agree that Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric is a distraction. It works every time.
Dems are too divided: regular Dems vs the far-left. Can’t agree on anything. Dem’s purity test one that you either pass or fail, no space for nuance. Idk what will happen but we see what is happening now and can tell what’s to come. If the people rise up, Trump will declare martial law which he’s been itching to do since his first term, any excuse to go full blown dictator and of course his cult following and media will be on board. As usual.
I don’t see a way out of this situation besides the people fighting back & I don’t mean at the ballot box….
