Holding Trump accountable is one way through. Lawsuits etc.

But what about destroying his base?Wouldn't that be even more effective? If you publish Cassidy Hutchins sexting texts from Republicans that seem to terrify senate Republicans and have them so busy with their careers and their private life's being destroyed that they have no time for work/Trump. And then you publish the membership list to Jeffrey Epstein's island those will cover the world's millionaires and billionaires and you will have them so busy trying to protect their careers, their empires and their families that trump's hold will fall apart. Fight dirty with dirty.

Democrats are just standing arounding spouting shit doing nothing as effective.

Excellent points and well written! The fact that no one in this entire administration had assured Columbia would be on board with this circus portends more embarrassing debacles in the future and subsequent blaming others for Trump's void of diplomacy and ignorance about the United States and its history:

Trump is exposing himself as a crude thug who intends to expand his power and his ego by bullying other countries, including our own allies and trading partners, to get what he wants. The world knows that unless they stand up to him, he will continue to try to steamroll over them. Trump should not be surprised if the OAS (Organization of American States) convenes to collectively defend themselves and retaliate, especially after noting his declarations to unilaterally seize Greenland and the Panama Canal. Once they first buckle under to Trump's extortionate threats, they know that it will only inflame him to raise the stakes and demand more.

It's true that the fascist regime as a whole displays no grand strategy. (We should discontinue the farce of referring to the figurehead's 'thoughts' or 'plans'; he's a deranged moron who has exhibited clear signs of a verbal learning disability his entire life, never surpassing fourth grade reading level, and in past ten years worsening dementia has become evident.)

The absence of a coherent strategy for domestic or foreign policy is a reflection of the collective intellectual capacity of the regime, which is composed of stunningly ignorant, cognitively stunted aspirants, but this does not establish their actions and policies are not manifestations of their clear intentions, which they share with the figurehead- the sincere wish to inflict harm on those they deem 'undesirables'.

The actions are not theater, not merely perfomative.

Real people have already been subjected to harassment and detention by ICE on 'suspicion' they lack legal US residency. For example-

https://oregoncapitalchronicle.com/2025/01/24/reports-of-navajo-people-being-detained-in-immigration-sweeps-sparks-concern-from-tribal-leaders/

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-agents-raid-new-jersey-business-detaining-migrants-citizens-mayor-says-2025-01-24/

These actions by ICE occurred within days of the figurehead's installation. ICE agents were ready- and eager- to begin what may politely be referred to as extra-legal methods of ethnic cleansing. The individuals and groups targeted are not coincidental.

The figurehead, its coterie of sycophants and disciples (including a majority of the US Supreme Court), countless federal and state officials, and legions among the ranks of federal and state officers, are sincere in their embrace of the fascist worldview. They mean it. The state-sanctioned brutality and dissolution of our constitutional democracy is already underway.

We are one week into the regime. It gets worse from here. Much worse.

It is all very frightening and dangerous for sure, but Trump really looks like a doddering old fool with these screwed up deportations and with leaders of other countries reminding him that he’s a clown.

I’m wondering if his dementia is driving Trump’s extreme overreaction to the President of Colombia’s blocking the military plane followed by his explanation. Dementia patients can over react when they are driven by excessive anger. Just curious and would like to read other’s opinions.

Thank you for helping us put the inexplicable into a rational, if horrifying perspective.
