From Trumps point of view he is not selling out American because he does not work for America. He works for Russia. It is up to others to not sell out America, but here they are, helping to make the US a client state of Russia. When will Europe recognize that? Tomorrow, the next day? Yes and no. Funding is one thing, and personnel is another. I still do not see Germans making the shift overnight from 80 years of being told that Germans should not be scary, should not have a strong military, should not take a military lead. Now it is going to be the untried Merz's job to get the German people to go along with it. I am both German and American so I am all about the security. Already making my war plans with my family and friends in case Russia attacks us. My daughter and I have a meet up plan.

I am disgusted, but am putting that aside mostly to try to understand what is going on, what I can do about it if anything, and I have been preparing for this leaving NATO for a while, or backing out of it, for a while. I read Project 2025 in a political book club group so it is a playbook that is being followed. Right now I am in 2 political book clubs. One, I started which is with Democrats Abroad. Another one I join when I can which is Andra Watkins' on her Substack. Actually they met one right after the other today. Anne Applebaum was the guest at Andra's bookclub, and for it we had read her book Autocracy, Inc.

It’s time for articles of impeachment to be drawn up and submitted in the House of Delegates. There is enough content in the media, as Olga writes, to justify a call of Treason. We already had high Crimes and Misdemeanors. Knowing full well that the despicable mouse Johnson would prevent any advancement of a filing, it might serve as a talking point with media coverage to get more attention from the 90 million Americans who didn’t bother to vote.
I am hoping that the democrats have something momentous planned for the Traitor-in-chief’s speech tonight before joint Congress. My personal favorite would be for them to stage a walkout event during his speech, paced to last through his entire speech. That would be a huge distraction; pulling all coverage cameras away from his vomit inducing face. Anyone concerned about decorum, insulting the honor of the office of the POTUS, need only recall the moments of Marjorie Taylor Greene’s loud heckling of Biden during his joint speech. This historically slimy excuse for a President warrants a historically unique response.
