For those who know me, you know I’ve been sounding the alarm on Donald Trump’s behavior since his first term — particularly the tactics that mirror those in Russia and other authoritarian regimes.
The military needs to be honorable and uphold their oath to our Constitution by arresting and removing this wannabe dictator domestic threat and treasonous traitor to the United States from office and not giving a parade during a time when this felon has made it even more difficult for Americans to put food on their tables while watching their retirement funds evaporate more each day.
Been screaming this for two months. I barely get even a like. I know what the old America would have done. I guess we are well and truly lost to money and fame: the only things Americans really care about anymore. Me? I’m feeding a couple of beautiful blue jays peanuts every morning. That feels more real to me.

The tariff idea started during Trump’s first campaign. He had no economic adviser so he asked his son-in-law, Jared Kushner to find one.
Jared went on Amazon.com searching book titles & came across “Death By China” by Peter Navarro. Navarro was then asked to join Trump’s team.
Navarro was a trade deficit hawk and had a PRO TARIFF policy. He used “Ron Vara” as his “expert” source, as a back up source.
Ron Vara is a NON Existent, made up person - an ANAGRAM*. FICTION! Peter Navarro INVENTED this “expert source” so he could quote this “expert source” in his crackpot books.
“In several of his books, Navarro quoted a fictional economist named "Ron Vara", an anagram of his name, as a source of information.”
"What starts as a parade doesn’t stop there. It becomes routine — military flyovers at rallies, loyalty pledges, and the creeping normalization of militarized politics — all designed to condition the people to accept control."
Trump's military parade is not only intended to inflate his ego and demonstrate military might to the world but, more pointedly, it is intended to threaten the American people who oppose his reign.
He makes me want to throw up. He dishonored military veterans, called them losers. Now bone spurs draft dodger Trump wants a military parade to honor his own birthday? God help us, we're f'd.
Nobody is likely to need a Kremlin style military parade to celebrate what would surely be known as idiot President day that would attract the biggest crowd ever seen blocking it's path sitting in the road. However, he has achieved two remarkable things in his first three months. He has united Europe for the first time in over 80 years and he has created lots of new smuggling opportunities to replace drug smuggling.
Think of iPads doubled in price in the shops, eggs, fruit, veg, meat and cars, steel aluminium, electric power, timber, so on and so forth. No president has ever created such fantastic tax evasion opportunities since the days of prohibition. There could be thousands of products coming across the borders or up the beach every night and no police free to stop them. Wonderful, thanks orange one!
Meanwhile, how do I explaining to my Canadian grandchildren what's going on?
Fortunately, I gave them a warning the first time around when they were much younger.
Now that we are experiencing the full madness and destruction, it's going to be strange making our annual Passover-Easter visit. We're already considering another appearance this summer, hoping to be up north just in case!
There is a reason why I encouraged our daughter to attending university in Toronto 25 years ago. Oddly enough, our grandparents fled to the US from "the Old Country" in 1910.
Paying attending is a lesson that is never. to early to learn.
I think the Resistance should plan for nation-wide/world-wide protests on June 14th. Similar to what we all did on April 5th. Tens of millions of people on the streets protesting this mad king would be a fitting birthday present. Indivisible, 50501, what do you think? Let’s go!
I heard that a parade like that with heavy vehicles would cost taxpayers 100,000.00 at least—and tear up the streets of Washington. Who would have to pay for the repairs of the streets ? All this on Trump’s birthday? What a farce.
