Of course the right-wing disinformation/fake news liars will pick up on this insane crap. It is gold to their ears! Just give them a few more hours to do so.

The only misgivings that they will have is how on Earth didn’t they come up with this BS themselves!

The answer is yes, it’s being picked up and pushed. I saw a fb post yesterday on an account of someone I know from college who lives in Omaha.

She’s very far rt and generally reposts from other accounts. The “breaking news” was reposted from John Cooper via a Josh Dunlap account.

'With Trump and Elon Musk effectively shutting down USAID—and a planned purge targeting the FBI, CIA, NSA, and the entire U.S. intelligence apparatus—the Kremlin’s dreams are coming true.'

It's almost like Trump has been Putin's bought and paid for tool, with the full, conscious complicity of the GOP-

'Corruption Russian style is All-American. Just ask the NRA and the GOP.' (Jan 24, 2018)

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/1/24/1735694/-Corruption-Russian-style-is-All-American-Just-ask-the-NRA-and-the-GOP

"ProPublica details what can only be characterized as a multi-year, multinational scheme to use laundered Russian organized crime money to turn stalwart conservative organizations like the NRA into useful idiots or willing accomplices in Putin’s efforts to seize the US government for his own ends...

“It appears the Russians, you know, infiltrated the NRA,” Simpson said, according to a published transcript. “And there is more than one explanation for why. But I would say broadly speaking, it appears that the Russian operation was designed to infiltrate conservative organizations...”

"How far back does this Putin/Russian organized crime connection go for Trump? Over twenty years:

"On July 12, 2013, an FBI agent working on organized crime issues at the U.S. embassy in Madrid provided Spanish investigators with a memorandum on the Taganskaya gang, including figures identified by Spanish documents as associates of Torshin. The memo shows that the FBI had been tracking the Russian group since the 1990s."

"The FBI described the Taganskaya mob’s involvement in illicit corporate “raids” in Russia and suspected money laundering in New Jersey, according to the memo. It also says that a Taganskaya figure described by the Spaniards as an associate of Torshin “may have been running financial operations for deceased thief-in-law Vyacheslav Ivankov” — a notorious mobster who during the 1990s spent time in New York and reportedly lived in Trump Tower for a while"

*******

Here's how I summed it up, almost exactly six years ago-

"When you let yourself be bought by Putin, you damn well stay bought. And Putin has been cashing out his investments in a big way of late.

Putin isn’t playing."

Last semester we audited a class concerning Russia after the fall of communism. The professor and her husband are both experts in this subject. She teaches at Queens College and he’s at Yale.

What a thrill to have a front row seat and examine the implementation of “shock therapy”, as well as the cultural fault lines that emerged after Ronald Regan dramatically waved a magic wand at the Berlin Wall.

All the posturing and posing cannot disguise what is happening “at warped speed.”

It’s crystal clear that we’re in the throes of fault lines that will alter our lives irrevocably.

More than ever we need to unite and work together to preserve the rights that are being ripped from our hands.

The rise of the oligarchs in the US has grown exponentially and it’s completely predictable that international alliances will

change the political, social and economic landscape of our planet.

Wouldn’t it be great if the ruling elites were benevolent dictators whose actions were actually in the best interests of humanity?

History teaches us otherwise. When you seek to control all the levers of thought and action, inconvenient and unpleasant truths will be outlawed and our lives will be devalued.

The story of David and Goliath comes to mind. But where does that lead us? Around and around in circles, chasing our tails.
