📅 June 9–15, 2025 | Trump accelerates his authoritarian control—deploying troops at home, expanding surveillance, & rigging the federal government for loyalty over law as Nationwide Resistance Grows
It might seem like that but It takes time. And, things are happening but you don't see them because it is an absence of things happening, and things that you don't want happening.
For example, the Big Bad Bill has not passed yet. The awareness that the people expect at least the Democrats to do all they can to slow it down and break off bad parts if they can is one piece. Let us hope that Mike Johnson does not get his way to see it passed by July 4, which is like Putin with his ending the war by May 9.
Then we have the courts which other than the Supreme Court are mostly ruling against Trump. Seeing us march keeps them going too. They all rule against Trump risking their lives and that of their families. Our country has many very brave judges.
There are also Governors, AGs, other lawyers, Law firms, Universities, and politicians standing up to the administration and fighting every bad thing. I read that the Blue State AGs have litigation lined up to fight each Project 2025 thing as it happens.
All of these people take heart when they hear that we are out there standing up to speak truth to power too.
Someone told me that there is a Tesla takedown planned in a Suburb of Chicago on June 28, that has made a huge difference to Tesla our boycotts. I would like to start one of PayPal as well.
While we are a society of immediate gratification, and Trump, Musk and the rest of the Kakistocracy have torn down things quickly, we cannot replace them or save them so quickly. It is going to be a long fight. One needs breaks, and one needs supports. Otherwise, we have to learn to find the successes without ignoring the failures and what is wrong.
One of the reasons that it is recommended to find something to do locally, is that it is easier to see results.
Enjoying my morning coffee and reading this must-read post. Thanks for including those pics! I participated in the Helsinki No Kings protest on Saturday. Every protest counts.
Thank you Olga for keeping your finger on the pulse of events and boiling them down for everyone. 💙💛🇺🇦
We can protest all we want but nothing is happening. Why?

I also heard at my Indivisible training that there will be a 5 day Summer Justice Tour going to Louisiana to protest at the ICE concentration camps there. https://www.seiu99.org/2025-solidarity-summer-justice-journey/
This will help give the people in their heart.

Thanks
Trump backed down on rounding up illegals in certain industries. Just yesterday I believe.
He’s all over the place with tariffs, but a lot better than “Liberation Day.”
Hints of light.

The maggots and billionaires tried to make the parade into something big and scary. What a big FAIL that turned out to be!
Your run-down of events is the best! And the pics are just great.
